The property, located at King George Boulevard and Fraser Highway is surrounded by various amenities, including SkyTrain.

“Today’s announcement is huge for Surrey residents, bringing top-notch educational opportunities closer to home,” said Mayor Doug McCallum. “The City will be fast-tracking permits for this project, which will completely transform the site and create well-paying jobs.  The strategic location of the new healthcare campus is the perfect complement to Surrey Memorial Hospital, which will no doubt benefit from the talent coming out of this new facility.”

This announcement distinguishes Surrey as home to three of BC’s largest public universities and further establishes the city as an innovation hub within the province. The vision of the new UBC campus will create advanced education opportunities closer to home for students in Surrey and south of the Fraser.
